This guided tour takes you to discover the more inspired and lesser-known side of Alassio, a city that over the centuries has attracted painters, writers and intellectuals from all over Europe, enchanted by its light and landscape.

It starts from a place symbolic of foreign influence on the Ligurian Riviera: the West Gallery, a precious testimony to the English community that found a home and inspiration here, leaving a legacy of unique works and visions of art.

The route continues in the picturesque Carlo Levi Art Gallery, where art meets history to talk about Carlo Levi and his Alassio.

Here you will discover not only the stylistic evolution of Levi-a 20th-century doctor, writer, painter and intellectual-but also his deep connection with Alassio: not only a physical place, but a true dimension of the spirit.

The tour relates Levi's artistic production to the historical and social changes in Liguria and Italy, offering an authentic look at the territory's past and present.
