Borgio Verezzi: nature trail and the stone hamlets. Loop trekking
February 12 @ 10:30 am - 15:00
15€
The nature trail is a very scenic route where history and nature intertwine.
From Borgio, amidst carruggi and scenic squares, one enters fragrant Mediterranean scrubland, ancient quarries, woods and scenic paths. You easily reach the highest point of the trail, where your gaze embraces the Ligurian coast as far as Gallinara Island and the entire Levant.
The descent leads to the timeless village of Verezzi, amid silence, stone and terraces overlooking the sea, the cultural heart of the famous theater festival. The walk continues among olive and carob trees to the Borgio Verezzi Caves, the aqueduct park and the murals on the walls of the houses that tell of the area's ancient crafts.
A not difficult, but very rich itinerary, where landscape, geology, legends and traditions tell the story of a unique territory.
