An evening itinerary among contemporary art, village and Ligurian identity

SCIÜ E ZÜ PE BERZEZZI is the cultural festival promoted every year by the L'Izua Cultural Association of Bergeggi, which offers guided walks to discover the area, each time with a different theme.

The 2025 edition is dedicated to contemporary art and includes a nighttime walk through the historic streets of the village with the Gulf Guides, enhanced by an exclusive visit to the exhibition and atelier of artist Véronique Massenet.

Art and territory: Véronique Massenet

Véronique Massenet is a French artist living and working in Bergeggi. Trained at the École Camondo in Paris in interior design, she has developed a deep passion for sculpture, using mostly wood. Her works explore the relationship between elements, representing dynamics of growth, interaction and transformation. Each sculpture tells a “love story” between pieces of wood, which separate and reorganize to create new harmonies.
In addition to sculpture, Massenet develops digital works that document the evolutionary process of his wooden creations, using photographs and digital manipulations to represent the stages of growth and interaction between the elements. These images are printed on canvas or art paper with pigmented inks, creating unique pieces certified by the artist.

His atelier in Bergeggi is a place where art comes to life, offering an immersive experience in its creative vision and deep connection with nature.
