The proposed loop effectively recounts the two souls of the Noli territory: the maritime one, gathered around the village and its overlooking the gulf, and the hilly one, made up of ancient connections, terracing, olive groves and natural landscapes of great value. From Noli, the route climbs toward Voze along the ancient Roman road, a historic axis connecting the Maritime Republic and its agricultural hinterland, then reaches Sasso di Dante, a place linked to local tradition that recalls the poet's passage and Noli's famous citation in Purgatory as an example of rugged and impervious ascent and descent. Continuing towards Le Manie, the itinerary enters the most characteristic landscape of the plateau, marked by karstification, dolines, limestone outcrops and the typical red soil, which has always favored cultivation and helps define the environmental identity of this area. Here Mediterranean scrub, open environments, mixed forest and species of special naturalistic interest alternate, in a context included in the Finalese-Capo Noli Site of Community Importance. The passage to the Bric dei Crovi offers one of the most evocative viewpoints of the entire itinerary, with wide views of the Ligurian coast, while the return to Noli touches the area where the ruins of the ancient church of San Michele stand, a building of Benedictine origin built between the late 10th and early 11th centuries and today a silent testimony to the long religious and settlement history of the Noli hillside.
