Cap Dramont and the landing beaches

Not far from Saint-Raphaël, along the Corniche de l'Esterel, is Cap Dramont, another enchanted corner of the French Riviera, now protected by the French National Forestry Office.

Our trek starts from the great Débarquement beach, one of the main landing sites in Provence. Here on August 15, 1944, American soldiers landed with tanks and heavy artillery, a dramatic and hopeful moment for Europe at the time under the Nazi yoke, a moment that should always be remembered.

At the foot of Cap Dramont, the picturesque little port of Poussaï is the starting point of the loop trail that leads us to the grandiose panoramic views from the top of the promontory, giving us breathtaking views of the red rock cliffs, the Isle d'Or, the Bay of Agay and the Esterel.

On the other side of Cap Dramont, the beautiful beach of Camp Long, sheltered by rocks, invites us to spend a relaxing time and perhaps take a dip in the crystal clear water.
