Cap Ferrat
The Cap Ferrat peninsula, one of the most beautiful corners of the French Riviera, is located between Monaco and Nice and more precisely between Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Villefranche-sur-Mer. A true corner of Paradise that became between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the residence of important people, including King Leopold II of Belgium and Baroness Ephrussi de Rotschild. Not only did the aristocracy and upper middle class of the 20th century fall in love with the peninsula, but artists such as Matisse, Chagall, Picasso and Cocteau, who regularly frequented the French Riviera, also fell under its spell.
Therefore, our proposal is a walk or rather a cultural-historical trek within a landscape of great charm and high naturalistic value.
Starting from Beaulieu-sur-Mer, a typical Côte d'Azur seaside resort with its casino, luxury stores and rich architectural and botanical heritage of rare beauty, take the path that in a short time leads to Saint Jean de Cap Ferrat, a typical French village with a beautiful marina, nestled in a charming cove to the east of the peninsula. Behind the village, hidden among lush parks and rare flowers, are luxurious hotels and prestigious villas.
The vegetation is that of Mediterranean scrub, with a predominance of lentisk, rosemary, broom, myrtle, agaves, maritime pines and prickly pears, enriched by exotic plants imported here in the early 20th century.
We continue our walk around the Saint Sulspice peninsula and continue along the peninsula's perimeter to Villefranche sur Mer, passing by beautiful beaches and small coves where, depending on the season, you can also stop for a nice swim. End of the walk in Villefranche sur Mer.
