NOLI.Trekking to Cape Noli from Le Manie (Finale Ligure) to Noli.

From the red lands of the Manias to Noli via the Forgers' Cave and the Witches' Tower.

We start from the Manie plateau (Agriturismo Ferrin), a paradise contended by wine growers and cyclists, a karst area of archaeological interest. From here we embark on a gradual descent toward one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Noli, crossing ilex groves and Mediterranean scrubland that open up with breathtaking views of the sea: Baia dei Saraceni and Promontorio di Varigotti to the west, Bergeggi Island and Torre del Mare to the east. Here history is intertwined with ancient legends among churches used as places of isolation for travelers and watchtowers to stem Varigotti's encroachments into the territories of Noli, loyal to Genoa.
The real star of this trail is the Forger's Cave, where the treasures of smugglers who came from the sea are said to have found hiding places.
Arriving in Noli via the Sentiero Dantesco (inspired by Dante Alighieri's quotation in Purgatorio) is a real plunge into the Middle Ages. We will pass through Noli: the fifth Maritime Republic, with a well-preserved historic center, medieval towers and a strong identity related to fishing.

NB. The cave of the Forgers is accesible only to those accustomed to walking on very steep paths. It will be the guide who will indicate who can descend. The others will wait on the path.
