FINALESE. Trekking the Orco: history and nature among shelters and ciappi

We start our trek in Orco Feglino, a meeting point for hikers and nature lovers.
From here we take the path that leads us to the Ciappo dei Ceci and the Ciappo Pianarella (rock slabs): hollows, cup marks and gullies take us back to the past when the primitive gesture of carving the rock was suspended between necessity and ritual; however, the engravings of graffiti (ancient and modern) remind us how much man has not lost the need to leave a trace of himself and his experience.
We continue to the Ciappo delle Conche, where the wilderness and silence of the forest accompany us through a landscape that seems frozen in time. A short detour makes it possible to reach the "ox-weapon" (or "the throne"), a characteristic semicircular sub-rock shelter with "seats" carved into the stone.
The last part of the hike takes us to the Cable Ties Shelter: another natural refuge, used since prehistoric times as a shelter from the elements.
Finally, the path leads us back to the starting point.
