La guided tour by Portofino will allow people to discover the beauty of this “small village that like a moonbow widens around a calm basin” (Maupassant).

A destination for writers, poets, nobles and actors, the Piazzetta of Portofino has seen its elite success grow: among its ancient arcades now shine the shop windows of big names. A spearhead of chic tourism, its name immediately brings to mind luxury yachts and fairytale villas. Walking up to the churchyard of St. George's we will be able to admire the famous view of the bay, with the old houses in pastel colors. Continuing with our tour guide, we come to the scenic Castle Brown, a venue for temporary exhibitions, with an attractive park. The fortress stands in an elevated position from which it dominates the entire bay; it was the scene of complex historical events involving even Napoleon. Having become a civilian residence in the late 19th century, the manor is now a lavish venue for events and exhibitions. Guests and works of art are welcomed on scenic panoramic terraces.

Through a path surrounded by nature, among lush gardens, we will be able to reach the  lighthouse, on the tip of the Promontory. The entire municipal territory is included in the Portofino Regional Natural Park and in the Portofino Natural Marine Protected Area. According to Pliny the Elder, the village of Portofino had during the Roman Empire the name Portus Delphini, due to the presence of numerous dolphins. It is one of the symbolic places of Liguria and tourism in the Mediterranean.

With a regular boat service, you can reach the beautiful bay of  San Fruttuoso di Camogli.
