Nestled between the green hills and the blue sea, it rightfully falls among the Most beautiful villages in Italy.

Celle Ligure has enjoyed real “fortunes” for centuries, both economic and artistic. The overall image is that of picture-postcard Liguria, with terraced hills behind the village and a historic center characterized by pastel-colored houses lined up along the coastline that stretches from Punta dell'Olmo to that of the Madonnetta. The town consists of two distinct parts: to the east the Plains of Cells, represent the area built after World War II with hotels and villas. Here the modern Parish Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, a fine example from the 1950s, designed by architect Enzo Magnani and featuring major international artists including. Lucio Fontana, Emanuele Luzzati, Mario Rossello And many others.

Monuments, churches and palaces of typical Ligurian architecture are preserved in the historic center. La parish of St. Michael preserves an interesting polyptych by Perin del Vaga, a pupil of Raphael, while the’St. Michael's Oratory encloses a valuable wooden statue of St. Michael the Archangel made by Anton Maria Maragliano 1694.

The waterfront is a true open-air art gallery that allows visitors to admire ceramic works by local and internationally renowned artists.

On the ridges around the historic center rise the ancient hamlets, built to escape barbarian invasions. Each of them preserves precious little churches and oratories, evidence of deep devotion. The hamlets of Celle are connected by a beautiful, well-marked hiking trail: the Seven Churches Trail.

We therefore invite you to discover with our guided tours and treks this little gem overlooking the sea, which offers itself to those who want to be captured by the almost unchanged charm of a charming fishing village.
